Elon Musk has now sold over $4 million worth of flamethrowers - The Verge Elon Musk's flamethrower is real and yours for just $500 - CNET Sometimes Elon is Thomas Edison and sometimes (more rarely) he's George Westinghouse. Other times? He's pure P.T. Barnum! Two thoughts: 1.Relax. It's not really a flame thrower. It's a $500 "Aim-a-flame" 2. Is this really the product release that you want to buzz the internet with a week before you light the fuse on (currently) the world's most powerful rocket??
It gets better. Elon Musk’s flamethrower ‘incredibly insensitive’ in fire-ravaged California, lawmaker says. - The Washington Post
Evidently....the WP's "technology writer" hasn't caught on to the fact that Elon's 'flame thrower'...doesn't...and isn't.

1. I would not like to be in an area where people are shooting at me. 2. I would not like to be in an area where people are shooting at me, with those tanks strapped to my back.
+1 1 +2 2....but the flamethrower is an anachronism these days. Stand-off is better....as they are finding out in the sandbox these days.....
