So I called Toyota tech support and said my Entune version AU.38.44 has a long 2 second delay when playing media through my phone and streaming to the head unit. They said either update to AU.38.88 at the dealer or use an aux cable. My question is: for those who have the latest AU.38.88 firmware installed on their vehicle, do you have any audio delay when watching YouTube or movies on your phone and streaming the audio via bluetooth to your speakers?

The asshats at Toyota don't give a flying F about enTunes on the Prius. I have had issues since 2014 and all I get is the run around. They, the software idiots at Toyota, have replaced my radio, and still having issues. The latest software crap release took away functionality. No updates and nothing but promises. To call it software is a disgrace to other programmers.

    (I am a software programmer.)

I agree, Toyota needs to stop trying to pull the proprietary card and embrace Android auto or car play. It makes no sense they choose Ford's SmartDeviceLink over either of them. I was riding in my friend's car that has Android auto and oh my god the response time on voice commands, immediate zoom in and out, scroll, nav, text messaging, really put entune to utter shame. But I love my Prius C so I need to love the awful entune software too. Btw, the dealer firmware update did not fix my bluetooth delay at all.

Were you able to fix this problem? I have the same issue on my 2016.

I also have the same problem! If anyone knows of an Android app that can advance or delay ALL audio output, that would help!

I do have a workaround using VLC video player on my phone, but you have to save the vids to your phone or a usb stick that plugs into your phone and play them that way. VLC even knows when I'm streaming audio through Bluetooth and the audio sync button is highlighted. Once set, (mine to -1.5 seconds) it works fine. But YouTube, Netflix, or Amazon Prime video, are all so out of sync it makes it hard to watch....

Oh, and this is just while I'm a passenger... we drive an hour to and from work.... When I drive, I'm too busy texting, reading or playing Candy Crush to watch videos!
(You should note the sarcasm in my post right here at the end, if you haven't already, jus sayin....)
