Airflow under a car is more turbulent and that creates more drag. Lowering a vehicle reduces the airflow underneath which can result in an increase in economy. A lowered vehicle also has a lower center of gravity which will generally improve cornering and reduce the risk of rollover. Plus, lowering a car often looks good, especially if using taller wheels and low profile tires and I bet the aerodynamic hubcaps would look sharp on a lowered vehicle.
Maybe I just spent too much time in an SUV, can't imagine lowering my Prius. The speed bumps are killing me now.
If "Master of Jive" is older than 12, I am going to be surprised. "More gravity"........come on, what happened to 7th grade science classes! Anyway, I do believe you might get a slight MPG bump by lowering the car a little. The TRD Sportivo suspension seems like you get about a 3/4" drop on average and likely a more responsive better handling suspension too. Lowering the car may reduce the wind turbulence under the car and increase mileage.

Lower? You want to lower the car? Like it isn't low enough? Why not put in those low rider shocks so it can bounce and dance around.
Actaully I though about lifting mine. Imagine pulling up to one of those huge lifted 4x4's on some dirt trail...giving a little honk...and then rolling off.
