Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone in the California area has changed their interior lighting to LED's. If anyone could send me the links to purchase the LED's. I also might need some help installing them. I would like to do all 4 door lights, rear dome light and front dome lights. Any assistance would be great as well. Will compensate in food and Beer. Lol thank you

Its pretty easy, you need two different LED's

for most of the lights, I think you need this one for the dome lights

I recommend getting some plastic prytools and be gentle. Its pretty easy, I think the most trouble will be the map dome

As bobthejedi says they all take the same bulb, except the rear dome which takes a very small festoon bulb. The original was 29mm, but I couldn't get one that size at a sensible price with shipping so I got a 31mm, filed a bit of one of the tips and squeezed it in.

The difference is amazing, brilliant crisp white instead of dull gloomy yellow (y)

It fits back in securely after taking the whole thing out? What about that little light that projects light onto the shifter? Can that be changed or no?

Fits back in like nothing was ever touched. Also the little light is already led.

I have a 2017 Prius and noticed this thread today. Did you ever change your interior lights on your Prius? If so, what package did you buy? Thanks

I stuck the oversized ones in and then hunted up the correct sized ones and bent the receivers back into place, the led's are a big improvement.

Beware that those cheap LEDs put out RF interference that you can hear on your radio. Buy quality LEDs or stick to the halogen bulbs. This problem was described in a car repair column in my local paper.

I have an issue on my 2018 Toyota Prius 4, I have a dome light that has the SOS Button I seem to have trouble trying to pry open the housing to swap out the halogen bulbs w/ LED’s. Can anyone suggest any form of help please?

i recomend these bulbs for replacements. warm white and a little brighter than stock.

i bought a JDM light kit for the regular Prius (the prime is the same. the SOS has additional connectors obviously.) bonus points if you can read Japanese. i recommend getting a METAL wedge stick thing. something about 1/16 thick, 1/4 wide, and 3-4" long.

follow the pictures slowly and carefully; Theres LOTS of clips. It took me over 2 hours to do the main dome light and i still ended up breaking one for the gray clips. i recommend getting a plastic spudger tool to help hold parts apart while you work on the remaining clips. you'll see what i mean when you do it.

If you do not want to take out the whole of the fixture from the headliner (as per the video above), you can follow the steps in the following video. The relevant section starts at 2:25.

Anybody has panel type LEDs? Long time ago I used to have ex something company and looking for exactly that type. The regular LEDs, I cannot see, (already installed ebay ones) especially trunk, it is too dim.
    Any recommendation?
