I am closing in on my first year of ownership and now want to change my interior lights to LED. Can you suggest the best place to buy a "package" for the interior lights? THANK YOU! P.S. I posted two links below. One for Amazon @ $12.99 and another from Precision LED @ $33.99 - $60.99.
I went with the "Yours" kit from an ebay seller. I like the panel led for the overhead lights and the fact that you can select 100% - 70% - 40% light output. I selected the 40% and its still bright at night when you open the doors. The kit did include a little metal tool for removing the covers but I have plastic tools that I used.
How soft starter is working on those expensive sets? I have very cheap, but quite bright square panels in the dome lights, and the flicker a little bit during the soft start. Annoying
I picked up a set on eBay. Least if your doors left open it won't kill the battery. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I bought a couple of sets (15 pieces/set) from eBay (<$10 from what I remember, it was a couple of years ago - all interiors, plus markers for the outsides & "puddle-lights")
I just received these from amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CHX83AG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I can't seem to find the original thread on PriucChat where these were suggested, but they were ~$12 and took all of 2 minutes to install, and they look v. cool! So thanks again to whomever!
I don't have any pictures at the moment, but I remember seeing some pics in the original post, for which I'm sure you can search as well as I can. It's starting to get dark, and perhaps I might go out and take some shots later…
They produce a nice white light, ones I have on the inside. Not the yellowish original lamps. Nice to know they won't drain your battery too. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Here you go, driver's side, taken in my garage, if you look closely you will see my left foot at the bottom of the picture:
You might need 2 sets for your Avalon (are there PuddleLights on the rear passenger-doors? …PuddleLights only in the front doors on my Gen II Prius! (…just sayin'))
