Well, now we know who angered the moderator. The audit logs should identify the moderator. I am sure that is Tideland's secret though,.
So anyway, the 17" are going to be louder, more rubber, more friction, get the 15" to keep your emissions legal, the oem tires won't be loud, I prefer the Michelin tires because they have steel belts, the oem are punctured if you swear or pass gas. Noise isn't a problem in prii, but if it is turn on the radio
Aren't ALL commonly used (ie, not super performance) radial tyres Steel Belted these days? Bridgestone don't mention, but several resellers state:
Curious. Your Prius cars come from the same plants as ours. Here you see different types on cars that are the same trim level. Although I have Bridgestone tyres there are Trim Two with Toyo or some other brand. There is an old 2016 thread where they crowdsourced this to determine whether the Two Eco had special tyres. It was determined they are the same as the other 15 inch Prii.
Mine are 15" wheels with Toyo Nanoenergy J51 on the Business Edition car when delivered to dealer October 2016. My order was placed in the preceding August.
Mine are Japanese made Bridgestone Ecopia 422 Plus. Apparently this tyre is made in 3 different countries. They have differing tread designs and mileage ratings but share the same name.
Wow, wasn't expecting to generate quite so much discussion! Thanks for the help everyone - leaning towards 15"
