Just curious if anyone can weigh in on this... Looking at picking up a Prius Prime from an out of state dealer. I know I’ll need “transit plates” to get the car back to my home state but was told by the salesperson somewhat after haggling an OTD price that there’s a $300 cost for the paperwork (as it’s done/processed through another company). I’ve never heard or seen this before. It’s a NY dealer but before I call BS and walk away from the deal I wanted to see if anyone has any experience in NY or something similar with transit plates from an out of state dealer...???
