That's right, boys and girls! Our Jennifer has requested that PC's Great Minds help choose a name for her kid! She hauled her burgeoning abdomen down to the Toyota dealer, and, using the world's most advanced sensing devices, they informed her that, come early December, she and DH will become the bouncing parents or a proud BOY! No, wait! It's the kid who will bounce! No, uh, the kid will be proud his parents drive a Prius! Oh, I'm just so excited! To make it even more exotic, we'll also get input on the boy's MIDDLE NAME, which, by family tradition, must be Hawaiian. (Hence the sub-topic suggested name, the only Hawaiian-sounding name I heard in junior high school.) Rancid and DH are excitedly huddling over hundreds of baby-naming books, and will soon provide us with a list of names they favor. We'll start by making our own suggestions, then pare ours and Rancid's thoughts down to a Top 5 or Top 3 or whatever; then, in the finest tradition of PC Polls, choose what WE think is a <strike>wiener</strike> winner. Final decision, natch, rests with the bouncing parents. Hawaiian contingent: heads up! *Title edited by mod.
Three suggestions: 1. Theobald (This was my grandfather's name and has so far gone unclaimed in our family) 2. Wenceslas (I *like* Wenceslas. It has a melodious ring to it. And a lovely theme song for the holidays) 3. Schlomo (Okay. Been watching too much of The Nanny. Her preggy episode was on yesterday.)

Oooh! This is going to be fun! Meka (eyes) Kai (sea, willow tree) Nahoa (bold) -Thank you Google! Congrats on the baby boy! I love the name Noah for a boy...
uh oh. i'll have to give this one some thought. but i'm not giving away my personal secret choice of a boy name
Kind of hard to do without a last name. The interaction between the two could kill an otherwise perfect first name. First name Last name
Hahaha!!!   <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sufferin' Prius Envy @ Jul 20 2006, 01:24 PM) </div> Hmmm...let me just say that we have a very, very, VERY uncommon last name (ie: I've googled it many a-times, and pretty much the only results that show up are folks in my husband's immediate family) so I'm not too sure I'd like to reveal it. If it were something simple & common like Smith or even Gilbert (my maiden name) I wouldn't have a problem with it. Perhaps a simple first name would be the best with our last name; nothing too exotic like Maddox or Moses or Xander.
Greetings, Jennifer. How's the pregnancy going so far? Aren't you glad you had the wisdom and foresight to plan the birth for a relatively cool month?! I think 'Gilbert' has possibilities for a boy's name, though how that fits with Roseannerosannadanna is up to you.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hyo silver @ Jul 20 2006, 03:22 PM) </div> Things are going pretty good...I definitely can't hide the fact that I'm pregnant now from the general public, that's for sure. Gilbert is my maternal grandfather's name, and Gil was my now deceased paternal grandfather's nickname (his first name was Paul, but they called him by a shortened version of his last name)...so to me, it sounds like an old-man name...seeing that they were/are over the age of 75. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Mystery Squid @ Jul 20 2006, 03:22 PM) </div> Haha, you wish! For middle names, a few that I like are Kailani (sea & sky/heavenly seas), Kalea (bright), Keilani (glorious chief), Makaha (fierce, ferocious and also hubby's favorite surfing beach on Oahu), Nalani (calm of the skies). And all these without having yet cracked open the Hawaiian Baby Names my sister in law lent to me.
I'm a big fan of the name Wesley. It was my grandfather's middle name...and my uncle's middle name as well. Congrats!!

Bennett/Benjamin Max Nathaniel Jacob Zachary (because they all have or are short forms that are cool, too...)
