Can someone advise the best way to replace these lights? Or point me to a video? I have tried looking but have found other cars not the Prius C I got pulled over last night no ticket but hate getting pulled over! Thank you,
Owner's Manual, page 424: Good strategy is to do a walk around every so often, make sure they're all working. I found beside the license plate light, the little marker lights at the front corners are prone to burn-out. Probably all the same bulb, they are this on our 2010: 00234-00192 But check with a Toyota Parts Department.
Well that's easy. The dealer told me it was SUPER complicated and they wanted to charge me $50 to replace it.
I don't have a C but the plastic piece inside the hatch has to be removed. Do it when it's warm and get a putty knife and get under a corner and pry until you can get your fingers under it. Sometimes those plastic christmas tree clips break but the parts storestore stock them. I did mine with LED bulbs and never had to mess with them again. LED bulbs are polarity sensative, if they don't work, turn them around. Once you have done one it's no big deal. Make a video and post it on YouTube.
Not according to the Prius c Owner's Manual. I know with our 2010 I also have to remove interior-of-hatch plastic, but the c's a different vehicle.
You are right I just looked online at the Prius C owners manual https://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om-s/OM52J11U/pdf/OM52J11U.pdf page 462 shows how to change the license plate light bulb. Does anyone ever read the owners manual? lol This was a 2017 manual I believe so check yours.
My dealer advised me not to change my v's license plate lights as they would have to charge me $50, I changed them with a butter knife in 5 minutes. it was not obvious to me, but you want to open along the long edge.
