Hi guys, I got my green sticker last year around March (2017) And I've been looking up information as to it needing a replacement for 2018. From what I read below on dmv site it looks like we should be good untill January 2019 without any replacements. Is this correct? Thanks in advance. From DMV https://goo.gl/FwgoPv Note: Beginning January 1, 2019, Assembly Bill 544 creates a new decal program to allow certain low emission vehicles to access high-occupancy vehicle lanes, regardless of vehicle occupancy level, for a four-year term. Access to high-occupancy vehicle lanes for vehicles with green and white decals will expire January 1, 2019. Vehicles issued a green or white decal in 2017 or 2018 will be eligible to reapply for a decal in 2019 granting them access to high–occupancy toll lanes until January 1, 2022.
Did more research and it looks like those who got the Decal in 2017 will not have to reapply until 2019 https://goo.gl/xAdwPd If Governor Jerry Brown signs the bill, AB 544 (UPDATE: Governor Brown signed the bill on October 10, 2017), here’s how the new program would work: Stickers issued to new cars after January 1, 2019 are valid for three full years and then until January 1 of their fourth year. Drivers issued stickers in 2017 and 2018 will be able to apply for a new sticker in 2019 that is valid until January 1, 2022. Stickers issued before January 1, 2017 will expire on January 1, 2019.
