Hi. I am hoping that you can help. What is the maximum draw from the Prime please? I know that I can set it to 8 amps manually but if I leave it on the max what does that pull? I believe on the older Plug In it was 12 Amos but I don’t know about the Prime. I have searched for the answer but I cant find it. iPhone ?
I was just going to say they may provide a different EVSE in the UK with the Prius PHV. The Prime is North America only.
I will have the Prius PHV 2017/18 model in a few weeks and am having a charger installed and just wanted to check to ensure my wiring is good enough. 16 Amps appears to be the answer for draw so thanks for replying. iPhone ?
No worries. Primes come with a 120 volt EVSE. Current draw would be different. Does your PHV come with an EVSE or must you purchase one separately?
I have just had a EVSE installed. Paid for by the government and Toyota. View attachment 142273 iPhone ?
16 amps just like level 2 here in the states. Free home charge unit for Plug-in | News & Events | Toyota UK Looks like they get a cable with 1772 plug (car) to type 2 Mennekes plug (Evse) . No Evse built into the cable. EU way of doing things. Wonder if there is much cable theft going on there? Locking latches on both ends?
In the EU, public charging stations do not come with a cord and plug. The user is expected to provide their own cord. The charging station just has a receptacle (Mennekes, I believe).
