The light is on but no beeps this morning nor flashing icon. Temperatures did drop to freezing last night but dry. The car is sitting in the morning sun and I'll retest it around 9AM.

While running errands, the lane keep assist beeped and flashed me ... in a good way.

Stop Calling It LANE KEEP ASSIST! It's lane departure warning with steering assist. (and I've NEVER felt the steering assist work, and yes it's on) As one who had Lane Keep Assist on my last Prius, it's not the same thing at all. Not even a sorry-A$$ cousin. And yes, I'm still burned that we don't have it on the Prime, the supposed top end model of the Prius line. But now I hear they're only putting on the Lexus.

Don't know. I overslept and was in a hurry to get to work when I noticed it wasn't working. I wasn't thinking about testing it until the 'Warning does not work under 32 mph' message showed up approaching a stop light controlled intersection. So after the turn and up at 40 mph, I checked and it beeped at the right curb and only flashed crossing a lane line.

I'll have more opportunities to map the behavior.

Speaking of that warning, anyone know off the top of their head if we can disable the silly LDW under 32MPH warning. I know it doesn't work, stop telling me and ruining my display of useful information.

It's just that 'one thing' that bugs me. Love the car, the way it drives, the seats are more comfortable, there is a wealth of information displayed, the apps are great, I even like the looks. It just bugs me greatly (bigly, if you will) that Toyota removed something that worked so well.

No, I'm not happy I'd like to propose we all sign a petition to Toyota that tye make the steering assist wortk like it does on the other Toyota models. Anyone want to join me?

When I visit dealers I make it a point to them that their current system is less capable than the old one I'm driving. I know it doesn't do any good. Toyota will listen (and care) when they believe they can see an impact on the sales line.

I didn't have the better but expensive system before, so from my POV I don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I tell my wife the same when she starts to complain about the rather outdated Nav: it is pretty good for free.
