So here is my story Leased a Prime 6 days ago, was so happy, usually I stick with lexus, but at this time decide to have a taste of an advance technology. So, after 6 days of driving on 78 miles, all my pannel went crazy, with main message Hybrid System failour. Check engine on, brakes is on, abs, traction control, pretty much all possible light could light up was on. Luckily maded it safe to service, driving 25mph. Technician told me there is code P0abf28. No answer since yesterday, today was snowstorm, so technician decided not to show up. Very disappointed, only 78 miles, car is broken((((( Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Code poabf28. Wow, that is bad. Time to notify next of kin...Prius C, etc. (Please let us know how this plays out.)
welcome! bummer man! probably just a glitch, did the car change in any manner as far as driving is concerned? no worries, it probably isn't broken. did you take it back to the dealer? that does not look like a prius code.
Bad news always comes together! So, whole battery needs to be replaced, there is some kind of sensor inside battery assembly went bad. There is one way to fix it, just change whole battery. Got tons of phone calls from Toyota corporation, they want to know opinion, experience, etc, saying sorry for inconvenience.
News, yes, but somewhat expected. We are driving the first model year which makes us the last integration and test team. There will be 'infantile' problems that will feed into the next model year update and possibly a future recall. Replacement parts will also get improved. I am sympathetic to the impact on plans by having our BMW i3-REx suffer a failed motor mount bolt and two week outage, it happens. Sharing here lets us look for additional failures that might reveal a specific weakness. Bob Wilson
i'll say one thing for the pip, there were no first year blues. inexplicably, the chargers started coming defective in year 2 or 3. perhaps because they already had 2 years of gen 3 under their belts.
