Has anyone noticed how close and similar the new Corolla’s front end looks to the Prime. I had to look twice. View attachment 141809
Yea. Someone came to me and said that I had a nice looking Corolla. I corrected him and said that is a Prius. He had a surprised, puzzled look on his face! LOL
I thought Toyota mentioned the Prime took design tips from the Mirai. Perhaps the more common Corolla did too.
I guess that means the car blends in since I believe Corolla is Toyota's top selling model worldwide. IF only the Prime could get close to tose numbers. Corolla by the Numbers | TOYOTA Global Newsroom
That is a Prius Prime in the US (& Canada?) and a Prius PHV in the rest of the world. Hint: Look at what forum it is posted in.
i think toyota wants all their cars to look the same. they don't care if you can tell them apart, as long as you can tell it's a toyota.
That does help people avoid them. If there was that big black mouth on the Gen 4, I likely would have moved to another brand.
I think the Mirai is just plain boring looking, while the Prime and Lexus are over the top, at least to my Italian Prejudiced eyes! I have learned to "acclimate" to the Prime, thanks to all of its techno bells and whistles, and outrageous frugality of cost. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
i would overlook the looks for the right car as well. but why is it necessary? honda, nissan, hunday and kia are making nice looking cars that sell well. seems like toyota has gone from boring to 'what the heck happened?'
