TOYOTA can't even get PRIUS in reasonable quantities for Australia. Almost never see them in dealerships - there is one in one dealer in my City, looks like an adjoining city has one - and that's almost 2 years after release. They've told the press in Australia that PRIME won't be coming - though, with 4 seats, it wouldn't be what I'm looking for anyway.

Apparently LEXUS has decided NOT to do a PHEV at all - will offer only EV or ICE cars. Which is interesting - their major competitors have PHEVs (AUDI, BMW, Merc, Volvo and Jaguar (coming)).

Mine is ready, I had the plug installed several years ago.

I'm ready!!! Solar on the roof, plug in the garage.

The Gen 4 runs on standard unleaded, but they said Gen 3 (& Corolla Hybrid) needed Premium 95.

I think it would battle with only 4 seats.

VW and Hyundai are poised to pounce with PHEVs next year. TOYOTA has missed the boat, I feel.

I'd love a PHEV when I hit the market next - my normal commute would be at least 50% EV, then hybrid. But I regularly drive longer distances which are out of range of normal EVs (maybe not TESLA, but they're $150,000+ with max range), so a PHEV would be the best of both worlds.
