Odd almost scraping sound when at a stop

wow, that's a weird one. I have a gen 2, 3 and prime and I've never heard anything like that. normally there's a bit of a gear/grinding noise when undergoing regeneration at low speeds, but that certainly doesn't sound like what the video is showing. it's almost as if the regeneration is cutting in and out rather than running continuously. I would expect if that's the case that the ecu would detect a fault and show the check-engine light, but I assume it didn't so either it's really rare and the engineers didn't think to try to detect or it's something else. in any case it doesn't sound normal.

 

I don’t hear any grinding or gear noise in regen on my 07. Very quiet.

Op probably has corroded brake rotors they make a racket in the first few stops. Probaby the car is not garaged. Need to clean the brake rotors.
