What mpg or l/100km are you guys getting this year and what year is your prius c? Winter Tires? Regular or Premium Gas?
Up until the temperature really dropped here (currently around -15C) I've been averaging 5.0L/100km. Now for the past two days 6.0L/100km. This is still without winter tires and because the car is new and I haven't filled up yet so don't know what grade of gas is in the car(2 weeks driving just shy of 400km and 4/10 bars left of gas gauge), also as much as I'd like to be more fuel efficient, I also like to be warm so I let the heater run when it's that cold outside. The lowest I've gotten when it hovered around 0C was 4.1L/100km. Granted I'm still a newbie who drove a car that averaged 9.0L/100km so when I get the numbers I'm getting I'm happy, but I am working/learning on how to get lower numbers.
Averaging about 44 to 48 mpg, stock tires (don't get enough snow here in Indiana to warrant the purchase), 87 octane gas. I also turn the temperature control to "HI" and set the fan on about 2 bars. Seems if I select the "Auto" function and set it to my preferred 78 degrees the fan is always blowing full speed and that just annoys me. The temp (taken by an old fashioned mercury thermometer) showed the cabin temp to be between 78 & 80 degrees. So it works for me that way. Was told that should affect my gas mileage, but if it has, I've not noticed it.
I get the same in winter as summer. But I live in Florida. I said that just as an example that NOBODY else's numbers will mean much to YOU......since so many things will be different, maybe. It is fairly common to hear reports of a 5 MPG drop or maybe even a bit more if your number was really high to start with.
during the "colder" months here in SE Texas when temps drop to mid 40's°F mine seems to drop about 4 mpg. my C seems to do best with temps from 72° to 82°F no heat and no ac.
Isn't that the truth... I avg between 55-60 in the warmer months, but I do work hard to do it. In the winter, I'd rather be warm. LOL
Bit concerned. I drove about 140 miles yesterday in 10 degrees Fahrenheit weather. Firm headwind about 15 mph. My prius tends to get about 45 mpg most of the year at 70 mph, summer can yield 57 mpg. Yesterday, only managed 38 mpg. Hope it was just a case of needing the heat on and the brisk headwind. At 5 years old, beginning to wonder if I need to replace the 12v battery.
I'd be concerned about that 12v battery, but other than that I'd guess your mileage wasn't horrible for the conditions. I drove to Indy and back yesterday at about 75-80mph, 17 degrees, light snow with a small headwind. Barely cleared 43mpg.
This morning was my first commute in subzero conditions (-7 F this morning). Normally in summer I would get around 60mpg with 35%EV (30 mile commute). During the fall it dropped to mid 50's mpg and just under 30%EV. This morning, 39.6mpg and only 9% EV. I'm sure if I still had my Honda Accord it would probably be in the mid 20's for mpg instead of upper 30's.

I bought the car in mid-December, so winter is all it has had so far. Overall milage is 41 mpg. My six-mile commute on Monday evening in bad weather (cold windy day, fairly heavy snow falling, slippery road conditions, crawling along in traffic that was sliding around) was 28 mpg, the worst I’ve had on a single trip so far. 2013 Prius C, original (all-season) tires. Regular fuel (with ethanol). Almost entirely used for commuting and in-town errands/shopping: average speed so far is 19 mph, which gives a good idea of what sort of driving I do. This winter is making me love my little red Prius, all covered with salt and road gunk, packed snow hanging from the wheelwells. It is a warrior. Except maybe for the plug-in electric cars, I cannot imagine a vehicle more perfectly designed for the type of driving I need from it.
