Is the Eurpoean Prius different than the U.S. model, ie is there no center ( Oh sorry, centre) console? From the article: "There is nothing but clear, flat floor space between the two front seats, handy when scooting from the passenger seat to the driver's seat". Seems like scooting over the console wouldn't be all that much fun!
It's definitely not flat - there is the centre tunnel where the exhaust pipe goes. And yes, there's a centre console, but it certainly looks easier to cross from side to side than a conventional car with a higher tunnel meeting the dash, and a handbrake and gearstick in the way. Haven't yet tried it myself, mind...
Perhaps I am misinterpreting the term "scoot". I can scoot between the front seats of my Odyssey, the floor is flat and there is no console. Easy slide as long as you remember that IS a 1 foot gap between the seats. I would have to define the same manuver in the Prius as a "climb over" rather than a scoot.

I interpret Batavier's statement to mean "None of the Priuses sold in Europe have SS/SE". Batavier, did I understand correctly?
Nope, there are some versions that *do* have SS/SE. E.g. there are two models in the Netherlands. The basic version (comparable to package #5 in US) and the Business Edition with all bells and whistles: including SS/SE.
