I noticed that mine work fine. However I don’t feel any heat at the very top or bottom of the steering wheel. I saw some comments previously about only parts of the wheel being heated. What are others experiencing?
pg 513: Heated steering wheel and seat heaters heat the side grips of the steering wheel and front seats, respectively.
Just got my new Prime. I had the same question about the top of the steering wheel (part between the laces)not heating. Good to know. Thanks!
The "Partially (half-A-S-S)" heated steering wheel only heats up roughly between 2~5 and 7~10 clock position. Large portion of top and small portion of bottom are not heated
So you bought a vehicle to be very energy efficient and your upset it's not wasting energy by heating the majority of the steering wheel that's not being used. Right . . .
Different perspective my friend, I bought this car for the CA green Decal. Respectively disagree. Your interpretation of safety applies to a steering controller, not a round wheel.
Unfortunately that is/was the standard for heated steering wheels (just the sides). However, I have noticed that manufacturers are starting to heat the whole wheel. (Recall that heated wheels were on luxury cars that typically had a wood/leather steering wheel. From my understanding, they only heated the leather covered part and not the wood covered part so it became the standard to heat just the sides even on fully leather-covered wheels)
