Is anyone else experiencing this problem... Since my iPhone 6 updated to IOS 11.2.1 the Entune app Eco Dashboard does not seem to be updating with my Prime Advanced data. It shows the last update time and results as of the last drive before I updated IOS. The rankings are updating but it's like I have not driven my car since the update 3 days ago. For example, I drove about 30 miles today but the mileage for my car is showing up unchanged. Other owners mileage is changing in the app. Is this starting with the IOS update coincidence? Might the problem be in the car sending information? Am I alone in this issue? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
I believe this is happening to everyone regardless of phone type or carrier. You can help by reporting this by calling 1-800-331-4331. This is the Entune support number. The more people that call, the faster we'll get this fixed.
FYI...Toyota is a car company and makes great cars... they just don't make great apps or software (and most if not all auto mfg in general) I deleted the entune app ASAP (and just ignored entune in general) as soon as I installed and realize that I don't need entune for my mobile entertainment device (yes a phone is now a mobile entertainment device) capabilities to function with the car...and...why should I need my car's information to be on my mobile entertainment device, too busy doing other stuff on my mobile entertainment device other than looking at the car's stats
Thank you all for your replies. I'll be contacting entune support. This isn't the first glitch - my November data went missing on December 1st. I called them and it too over a week to get it back after contacting them. <General bitch follows...> With decades of building networked and distributed systems this feels like their cloud system/database is kinda hosed. It's not confidence inspiring to see car-tied information systems screwing up so frequently. For example my iPhone 6 can not reliably perform Bluetooth calling and Siri connections. The USB isn't reliable connected to my officially supported gen 5 iPod Touch and will randomly not recognize the device. The navigation map has gone insane glitching out a couple of times and required a car restart to recover. The tech involved in my 2017 Prime Advanced would have been rocket-science 10 years ago, but then my 2007 Prius had a rock solid Bluetooth to phone connection. No USB support but the 3rd party iPod to Sirius adapter (the head thought it was a sirius radio) worked almost flawlessly (after 255 songs it would sometimes hang as the song count wrapped to 0). I complained to my dealer about the USB in my Prime Advanced and they just blamed the cables (multiple including original Apple one that came with the iPod). Same issue if I used my Phone on USB. When I went to great pains to show them the problem they just said to call Toyota: they were not going to deal with it locally. Harrumph. I guess I was spoiled by my super-reliable/super-dependable 2007 Gen 2 and not accepting the glitchy and undependable tech in my 2017 Prime Advanced. </General bitch ends> It feels better getting that out. I guess I expect things to get better and more reliable over time. -Stephanie
Quick question that may have been asked already, do you have to be a paying safety connect subscriber to keep using eco dashboard?
I am sure there is nobody with a Prime that is not within the period purchased with their vehicle. I do not know if there is a time limit for the "free" services.
And yes, the eco dashboard (and the other Advanced apps) depends on an active Safety Connect subscription. There actually IS some justification for this: Toyota is paying for the (Verizon) cellular service for the built-in cell phone that is used to communicate with the car.
Thx for the all the replies. I just signed up for the safety connect and was able to download all the Prime apps to my phone today . And as stated, it’s nice to see its good for 3 years. I did ask how much after the 3 years expires. They said if I extended now, it would be $80/ yr vs $129/yr after it expires. Quick question , why does my online green dot by my user name have a halo around it?
Yes on the Prius chat forum. Used to just be a solid green dot. Now it has a halo going around it. Did they change that?
I have an iPhone X with 11.2.1 and it's showing all the trips I've taken since the update. The Entune App shows mpg, not mileage. Is there a setting to switch that or am I reading too much into your terminology? I did notice that when I upgraded to 11.2 my Audible App stopped working properly through the car's audio system. I had to switch audiobooks to iTunes. If you're still having the problem, my suggestion would be to reinstall the app. If that doesn't work, call the Toyota help desk.
