The wife and I are going to pick up a Prime Premium on Saturday to replace her 2014 Chevy Volt.

    Retail: $30,538
    Dealer Discount: $879
    Sale Price: $29,659
    Rebate: $3500
    Subtotal: $26,159
    Tax/Title/Doc: $2089

    Out the door: $28,428

I don't think we stole it or anything, but we were in a rush to try and get one by the end of the year and Saturday is about the only day we would be able to go get one. We are going to be driving over 6 hours each way to get it.

We didn't even start looking at these until recently I looked on cars ( why the heck can't I type in the name of a website?! ) and saw that dealerships on the east coast had $3500 rebates on them ( we only have $1000 in Ohio ). We were actually thinking about the Kia Niro / Hyundai Ioniq since the MPG is actually more important than miles off battery ( she drives 110 miles a day for work ). But this car is the best of both worlds. Then when you throw the tax credit on top of everything else I don't think you can beat this right now.

I finally got one, a white Prius Prime Premium. I live in Houston Tx and purchased it in New Jersey. It is being picked up today and should be here by the 26-27 of Dec.

    MSRP: $30,379.00
    Sale price: $28,000.00
    Texas tax: $1800.00 (6.25%)
    doc: $459
    dmv: $375
total out the door price: $30,612.68

    Manufacture rebate: - $3,500.00
    ---------------------------------------------
    $27,112.00 (@ 2.95 interest rate)
    Tax Credit - $4,500.00
    ----------------------------------------------
    Final Price $22,612.00
    Shipping $889.00
    ----------------------------------------------
    $23,501.00

I hope the shipping process goes smoothly. This was the best price for a white Premium I could get over a period of about a week of looking. Got quotes from about 15-20 dealerships.

If I would have purchased the exact same model from my local Toyota dealer it would have been $33,111 (financed) - 4500 (tax credit) $28,611. It ends up being a little over $5,000 in savings buying from New Jersey.

Never seen one in person since they don't have them anywhere close by me. I hope I like it... lol

Good deal. And the car looks good. I like the look of them more than the older years for sure. Almost feels and looks like a spaceship at night with the lights. Especially the ones in the back.

So you can get a Prime for the same discounted price in CA and NY/NJ but in NJ the $3,500 comes from Toyota and in Ca it comes from the dealer? Interesting accounting.

It is $2k incentive now for CA dealers (latest) -not $1500. So the Premium may be price for $25600 before T&T.
So is the dealer getting $3500 from toyota?

SO with the rebate from CA $1500 and FED $4500, A PREMIUM in CA for $20K. A PLUS $18K...
that is a better deal than NJ even without the CA rebate. It is the best deal I have seen so far still thinking of the LEAF 2018, It is a nice car I have seen in Japan 2 months ago. It get about 200 miles on ECO mode..

Man buying a car is an angering experience. Who would know that getting a car a few months from when I got mine would have netted me $4000? I will never buy another car during the summer again. Definitely consider getting a Tesla next time too.

Procrastination pays your bus fare. But for $2.500+ and a real Philly Cheese Steak a 6 hour drive is not to far.

Everything went smooth, quote was exactly what we agreed upon. In and out in less than an hour.

And here is a picture with her old Volt.

First time on the site after researching for a while. Picking up my Prius Prime after work!

    Prius Prime Advance
    Metallic Gray/Black

    MSRP: $34,434
    Negotiated Price: $32,900
    Tax: $2,837 (NY @ 8.625%)
    Total: $35,737
    Rebates: $4,600
    Out the door Price: $31,137

The tax is a killer but I think I did pretty well considering. Went to 2 dealer and neither wanted to move that much being that the rebates are so high.

I will be able to plug in at work when my boss puts a plug in for me so super excited to be getting the car!

Forgot to add in the $75 processing/$10 tire fee and then DMV plate transfer which will be around $150 or so. Don't really count DMV fee b/c that has to be paid no matter what car you have.
Then deduct the $4500 tax credit so under $27k all in.

Sales SHOULD be "hoovering" around zero!! based on ABSOLUTELY no advertising here in Socal. HOWEVER , the huge number of Primes on the street out here, belies that they aren't selling!! I see at least one or 2 every day!! No, I'm not looking at my mirrors!!

Hey guys I'm looking to buy a Prius Prime either today or tomorrow, just wanted to see if I'm missing anything

MSRP : $30,338 (Premium Model, Floor Mat Package)
    Selling Price : $27,939
    Rebate : -$1,000 (If I don't use the .9 apr)
    Federal Tax Credit : -$4,500
    California Tax Credit : -$1,500

Is there any other incentives I don't know of? This is my first time buying a car so wanted to make sure I'm getting everything correct.
