I got a shipping notice today that the used car from NM/TX is on its way to me today. It has incredibly low miles and wasn't put in to use until 3/16 so it still has some of the 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty left. Is it too good to be true? I don't think I want to know if it is.
welcome and congrats! unfortunately, sitting around seems harder on the battery than use. but you should have many happy miles of motoring, all the best!
Well, I bought a new '16 v on12/30/16. We were planning a road trip in 2017 SW, NW and NE Canada 25k). I found out the car was on the lot since April. I can honestly say there has been NO issues.
glad to hear it! but the problems usually show up after many years, not in the short run. however, sitting for 8 months is not considered a role. 2 years? that could be an issue for lifespan.
The battery has an 8 year warranty? That would start on DOFU (date of first use). Heard that at the dealership service department. I’m not sure what the battery warranty length is.
it's either 8/100, or 10/150, based on whether you are in a carb state or not. yes, first registration.
Since it is 8/100 for Colorado that would be 3/2024 so kind of like getting an extra 2 years from manufacturer date.
