My iPhone 6 worked fine with my Prime, able to make and receive calls using the Off-Hook button. My iPhone X is not effective for outgoing calls. It dials the number, rings a couple of time, then the radio comes back on and no-one can hear me. Nor can I hear the person I've called. I can receive incoming calls without a problem Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?
Since the phone only came out Nov 3, it may not be on the comparability list. Check here to make sure.
Apple has a reputation of not being particularly concerned about complying with external standards. Basically, what they do IS the standard, and others must to adapt to the Apple implementation.
True story. I had to test the very first iPhone for comparability with our email system (Microsoft Exchange) because our officers liked the pretty screen. Graphics were very nice and ahead of everyone else then.. Phone was crap for doing anything outside of the Apple word. They finally caved in and released a patch. Apple to Apple was wonderful, but not with anything else. I still had to test them and try to work through it. Long time ago and I've never owned an iPhone because of it. I hope the OP gets a workable answer.
Thanks, guys. From Mark57's link, it looks like the new iPhones are not compatible yet. I'll complain to Apple and wait. In the meantime, incoming calls only.
