EVIN PINTO, if you have the immobilizer box and paired master key from a Gen1 you can transfer it to any other gen1. However, the first time you try and start the "new" car you must hook up a charger to 12V, turn to ignition on (not start) and leave car for at least 30 minutes. Then turn key off and try to start, car will then go into READY mode. If that doesn't work I do still have replacement matched sets (immobilizer with master key)

Getting back to the OP's question, my 03 came with only one key and as it turned out it was the valet key. Wouldn't open the trunk. Worked fine for the ignition and the door locks. I got a spare key, programmed at ACE for about $60, which also works just fine. Still wouldn't open the trunk. Turns out there's an extra wafer tumbler in the trunk lock, remove that and the key opens the trunk lock easily. On mine the extra wafer was the one that was farthest in.

yes, you need a new cpu and at least one key, preferably two this time. you didn't lose your spare, you lost your only.
    $700. - $1,200. from what i have heard.

Damn so im pretty much screwed. Does the key or the cpu cost 700 - 1,200 or does the whole job itself cost that?

going from memory from a very recent thread by someone else who lost their only key, parts $700., parts and labor $1,200. the keys are probably a lot less than opening the dash and reprogramming the ecu.

    steve218,
Immobilizer ECU part number is 89780-47010, with a sample price of about $300.
Immobilizer ECU, 3 keys and all locks, 89709-47010, sample price of about $700.

"All/only key(s) lost" leaves the problem of how to unlock the vehicle... for which you need the key code.
Toyota dealer can get that code via VIN lookup,
and it is also somewhere inside the passenger side door (which requires partial disassembly of the door).

Summary: as pointed out earlier, losing ALL keys is an expensive (time and $) error.

Parts Links: Not recommendations, just pointers.
