Welcome to the NC Prime Club. Wonder how many exist in NC? I believe we all bought out of state due to SET.

-Prime Advance Blizzard Pearl exterior, Moonstone Softex interior.
-MSRP of $33,100. With Floor liners/Cargo tray and special paint and delivery fees($895): $34,638
-No discount. People were lining up to buy it! I'm glad I had my deposit on it first!
-Added at the dealer: Aero Side Splitter($299), Door Edge Guards($125) and Body Side Molding($209). Factory Options: All Weather Floor Liners and Cargo Tray($248). Upcharge for special paint($395)
-Out the door price including taxes, $38494. Offset by the tax credit TBA.
    -Crown Toyota, Lawrence, Kansas

I commute 90 miles a day to work. My 4WD Tundra averages about 11.9 MPG using E-85. The Prime will eventually pay for itself in gasoline savings over what I was spending on my Tundra!

new york sells plenty, but they get plenty more. they are happy to share.
and toyota gets carb credits for everyone shipped from ny to a non carb state, so that's why they don't allocate them to flyovers.

You can ask 5k off but you will never get it, lol.
In southern cali you are lucky if you can get $ 500 off.

Cali420, check with Carson Toyota in SoCal. Ask for Dianne Whitmire . She has plenty of primes and has some good deals right now.

I'm shopping around San Diego, and here's the best internet quote I got so far for a Blizzard White Advanced model:
    MSRP $35,053
    -Dealer discount: $846
-Cash Back: $1000 (if using outside lendor)
    Selling Price: $33,207

    +Fees, tax, license: $2,639
    OTD price: $36,142

I found that the invoice price for this model is $31,776, with a dealer cost of $32,069. I plan to offer 3% more than the dealer cost, which is $33,032. If I use Toyota Financial for the 1.99% 72 month loan, total cost will be $38,097 ($529/mo)

    Should I shoot for more?

If you can get a credit union loan, currently at about 1.95% APR,
You can then take advantage of the $1,000 Toyota discount, or even buy it back east and get about $3,500 off. Don't forget California has another $1,500 standard cash back that they give you, or depending on your income, you might even get $3,500 cash back. You of course would have to apply for this yourself. Good luck!

I just pulled the trigger on TWO Prius Primes. We are a 3 Prius family (2004@115k mi, 2006@200k mi, 2007@110k mi) and the oldest pair are still running fine, but it's time to upgrade. I wanted to do it now in case Congress removes the EV tax credit. There are no Primes in TX so I scoured the NE states websites and sent inquiries. 8 responses came back and 3 dealers had both of the models/colors we wanted. After a frenzied few days of emails and calls I finally got enough info to select the winner. I still need to finalize the shipping from NJ to TX, but I have shipping quotes already. At one point I had an even lower price on the Premium, but they sold it before I committed and he had to get one from a nearby dealer which raised the price a bit. Still a great deal for both. When I get more time I'll list some of the dealers I worked with - almost all were straight up and helpful. Cost details attached.
