Hey Toyota! Are you listening? Do you see the opportunity here? Prius customers love their cars, but HATE, HATE, HATE the crappy little sun visors. Aftermarket solutions dont fit well and look bad. Why not design, manufacture, and SELL us a decent optional sun visor with a built-in extender for side window use and a flip down glare reducer for "low sun" conditions, and that matches the interior design of the cabin. This would be so much more desirable than the lighted vanity mirror! You can see from all the posts that you have a sizable market for this accessory! And, you can make some MONEY, too.

Thanks for the information. We made a set of these per your direction and they work great!

I like it. That is super cool. I did one with Manila folders. Here's a video on how to make them. You idea will last a lot longer.
Being 6'4" I need to put my driver seat all the way back. Then the sun whacks me from the side during the morning and afternoon. The sun-visor only blocks 70% of the area where the sun cooks me, so I made a visor that I've used for the past 7 years that works great. Here is a video on how to make the visor extension:

Put on film for both cars and that fixed the issue.

No, no, no, you really want it to tilt, too. Rubber band and cardboard is all you need. No exacting measurements required.

Hey, all Brits struggling with this problem. I found these on Amazon UK and bought a couple and found them really good. Price of £13.80 is a bit ott, but they're really adaptable and inconspicuous when not in use. I have no connection with either the vendors, or the manufacturers of this product support from my personal purchase.

Would really appreciate if @Tideland Prius could check his DB for any other UK members I might have missed. Thank you Sir.(y)

It might have been too easy for Toyota to have used visors with slide-out extensions like the ones in the 1996 Camry V6 LE I had before I bought my Gen 2. I've missed them on both Prii.

I’ve had my car a couple weeks and can’t stand the stock visors!! My Acadia ones pulled out. Loved them. I keep wanting to google a fix and then I saw your post. Glad I’m not the only one who hates them, I’m 5’4. My husband is 6’4. He hasn’t complained. Lol

He must be the 'long suffering and of great goodness' variety of husband; more commonly called 'a keeper' or here!;)

I used the 1/16” and it worked just fine. My wife loves it and uses it all the time.

I made my own two with one of those visor Kleenex holders from the 99 cent store and a piece of foam board

When I eat in the car is generally a case of me sitting in my food!
