Hi all! I've perused this website for quite a while now, but finally (better later than never) created an account. I recently purchased a Prime Advanced and just finished painting the covers on it all black. I'm a sucker for full black color schemes, and next I'll actually be adding a black suede headliner to the interior as well as dyeing everything else black. I also got rid of all the Prius/hybrid logos, as well. It still kind of bothers me that they never actually gave a black Prime color option, so I might end up painting mine black later, too. Or even a metallic pearlescent orange. I know people don't like black because it's "plain and boring" and hard to keep clean, but I think this car in particular might look especially awesome in black. I think it would pretty cool in orange, too. Thoughts?
orange sounds fabulous! i would love to see it. the c comes in orange, and i've never understood why they don't have more models offered in orange. i like black, but there are a lot of black cars on the road. toyota offers a glorious in the dark greene in japan, i'm so jealous! please keep us posted with more pics.
I want to have the rims painted black too. How much did it cost you? I also was interested in aftermarket sun visors that slide left and right like some of the older Toyotas do, and the current Hyundai Ionic does to shade the sun, any suggestions?.
I wrapped my Prime in gloss Sparkle Black Vinyl film and honestly I understood why Toyota didn’t offer a black color on a Prime, the answer is sinple; car has so many design cues and lines that easily get lost and hidden on the dark car(especially floating roof line and large windows got blend in) after 2 month I re-wrapped it into tiffany teal color with gloss black accents and it looks way better now My original color is Titanium glow btw. Here are some pics to give you an idea, btw I think orange will look great on the car(smth like Lexus F-Sport Ornge)!
Did you debadge your prime? Are there any holes behind the badge on the side panel as well as the hatch?
Side panels has no holes in them, emblems use double sided glue tape, the only emblem that has two holes is a rear T Logo and it also double taped

Sorry for such a late reply, I actually just debadged my car( didn’t like how it came with too many emblems and prefered a cleaner look), I only left the back T logo, which I plasti dipped in gloss black, the good thing about it is that you don’t need to remove emblems in order to dip them.
It's my buddy PavelTune from Instagram! I didn't know you were also on PriusChat. Has anyone else attempted to wrap their Prime? The front bumper looks more like an intermediate project than a beginner project. I've never wrapped a car but don't want to spend around $2k to have someone do it for me.
You should powdercoat the wheels! Orange would look very nice! I say do the orange and gloss black accents going roof and mirrors
Anyone Plastidip a whole Prime? I’ve debated but with all the little sensors and such, worry it’d be too much work. Have a ton of unused Tiffany (oddly enough) plastidip begging to be sprayed... Also, where’d ya get those back passenger window vent cover things??? Weathertech only carried front covers when I got mine... iPhone ?
