Finally a part of the Prius family and couldn’t be happier. The car is packed with high tech features and extremely comfortable to drive during long distance commute. Decided to go with the premium trim since I personally think it is the best value per dollar trim package I can go with. Barely got it for about 3 weeks and the car already giving me immediate saving. First off, my insurance went down from $650 to $460 every 6 month with the Prime, saving me almost 200 bucks every time I have to pay for car insurance. Day 1 HOV lane access was a major blessing, save me like 20-30 mins on my commute, really didn’t expect it to have such an impact when I initially got the car. Gas saving was just crazy, I just barely use up the tank that I got from the dealership last night. At 1378 miles yesterday and the car finally gave up and ask me to fill her up, only take $33 to get her from empty to full, freaking crazy. With my old car, it would have cost me about $232 to make it this far. Also my CA rebate application just got approved so I’ll be looking forward to getting that check rebate soon in the mail. The $$$$ saving just keep on coming I’m telling you Want to give a shout out and major thanks to @DianneWhitmire at Carson Toyota for making the buying experience wonderful and smooth, she really IS the boss so there no playing around with her price quote. There were no typical dealership game “let me go talk it over with my manager” and then you have to wait for hours to get the answer back. Very nice experience when you get to work directly with the director. Not only that but she also provide me with day 1 HOV sticker so I can access the carpool lane right away with the Prime, definitely a blessing in disguise. Definitely would repeat my business with her
Congrats. One almost feels guilty that more people do not know about our enjoyment of operating this car. (change your profile...you are a Prime owner now.)
Welcome, Niwa! (Do you park your Prime in a Garden?) I'm also a (relatively) new Prius Prime owner (April, after having Hondas for a long time). Great car, and you bought it just in time, before the newly passed GOP tax bill takes away the tax credit for it. Sounds like you got good service at Carson Toyota. I got more typical bad treatment where I went (N Hollywood) and drove off the lot to go home until they called me back and stopped playing games. But very happy with the car. Though my drives are usually too long for all-EV (I have to use some gas for most every trip I take) I certainly see a LOT (!) less of the gas station than I used to. You'll be real happy with it for a long time. Welcome!
I’m thinking about purchasing a Prime from Dianne at Carson Toyota long distance. Everything would have be done over the phone and net . Then having the car shipped to Utah. Has anyone in this forum done that with Dianne?
