What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Well with all the mods and weight I added, I’m averaging 57MPG or around 490 miles out of full tank. I ordered mine from eBay. The priceless moments are when people see my car coming and thinks “oh looks, it’s a lowered Prius haha” and as soon as i pass them, their jaws drop is all worth it

 

@MPGRaja , what tires are you using? U have 17 Inch wheels or bigger?

I’m on 17s with Michelin premier A/S and I can’t seem to get better than 50 MPG.

Usually try to keep my speed at 65-70ish

 

Yes, 17” Enkei PF01 (17-18lbs) with yokohama envigor 215/45.
I know it’s annoying but try to trake off from dead stop without hitting power bar, you can stay below that. Once your in speed, let the car fly on its own. Hitting 85-90mph at a slight decline will still get you high MPG’s. ECO mode will only make the car struggle to gain speed. Use that only when your in dead stop traffic or running the AC at freeway speeds.

 

I have the 17” Five wheels and with Toyo I am getting roughly 54 mpg in my Plugin

I just got Bridgestone Ecopia over the weekend so let’s see how well these do

Changed the tires .. preparing for winter. Not the best look with steal rims .. but what can you do .


Also got the replacement for the front headlamp. Will replace the UK one with this today.

 

Finally received my rear spoiler lip from Japan. Nothing crazy but just enough. Also went the less expensive option for a front lip. I am not really a fan of the front lips they have for this gen since most lips I've seen have those "fang" things just under the DRL's. Tried the EZlip and I am pretty happy with the outcome. Subtle but adds a little something.. Next is to install the suspension that is sitting in my garage..

 

ne idea if they will fit a 2014?

Not sure why it wouldn’t fit a 2014 when it’s the same headlight for the rest in its generation.

Yup, double sided tape... I cleaned it with soapy water, dried, used rubbing alcohol and then hit the lip/tape with a heat-gun giving her 3 inches at a time - giggity... If it ends up coming off, its cheap enough to get a new one but they say this will withstand a rub up on those concrete parking spot 'bumpers' or curbs..

 

maybe someone who saw the lights (especially the back) of both years can jump in here?

 

I mean I have. I’ve pulled a 2010, 13, 14, 15 and they all look the same.
