Well I took the maiden voyage in the new 2018 this morning. I drive on a mountain road for the 50 mile trip. Elevation is from -20 feet below sea level to 1300 above. Lots of ups and down grades and tons of corners. Here is a picture of the report... Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
If your trip started at -20, then the return trip should be a LOT better, gas mileage wise. And it should continue to improve some for the first couple of thousand miles. BUT......given the nature of your daily trip, your gas mileage might never come up to what it would on "straight and flat" at a reasonable speed.
They home I will measure tonight. I am guessing it should be better. I will take a picture after the drive back and post it here. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Wow! I am pretty amazed. The trip home was great! Check these stats out. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I was just about to say, "That's how it starts." You beat me too it Prodigy. Next he'll have a fuelly profile.
This is exciting and encouraging to watch! We've had the Prius less than a week. It's going to be my wife's main car for work. She goes 175 miles one way- fortunately only 3-5 times each month. This car replaces a Hyundai Accent which was performing admirably but getting long in the tooth.
