Would you rather have clean 150K mile leather 2008....or dirty 2012 plug-in with 220K?

Keep the 2012 and stay ahead with new tech help coming as the second Gens are 10 years old. The seats are also not the best but they are simple to clean as you've proven although they restain with simply water marks.

I have it on eBay starting bid $5300 and so far I have 2 bids (up to $5400) with auction ending Tuesday at 8:30am.

My brother says nothing happens to them if they don't pay and it's common so we'll see....There is no reserve.

Looking back I should have sold my wife's 2006 because gas mileage is under 40mpg and I really don't know why. And even though I put front KYB struts and Moog sway bar links it seems to hit bumps hard. I'm thinking possibly front wheel bearings.

The way my wife drives (short distances) the plug-in would be ideal.

    Listed wife's prius @ $4800. It's a lot cleaner but mpg sucks and it's not a 2012 plug-in.

May delete the eBay posting depending on what my wife thinks about keeping the plug-in.

I guess I should have thought on doing this before...I've been pretty lucky with my personal priuses when I list them they are usually gone in one or two days. I have someone coming to look at the 2006 in a few hours.

Any input on whether you would keep a 2006 w/ 162k that seems to get under 40 mpg vs a 2012 plug in w/ 220k that gets 50mpg?

Keep the 2012 for the optional plug in benefit. If I was local I'd be over looking at the 2012 to make a deal.

Well that sold fast. 2006 sold same day I listed. Guess I'll be keeping plug-in.

Unfortunately lots of expenses. Most not needed but probably do $450 clauzzio seat covers....$200 charging cord (hopefully works)....and Michelin Defenders in a few months.

Why are you spending so much on seat covers and instead thr answer but why not skip that and spend on maintaining it mechanically? There's plenty of useful temp covers out there. Congrats on the quick sale.

Well, had a code for EGR come up and so just spent about $600 replacing EGR valve and cooler. So probably holding off on spending anything right away. Tires and seat covers maybe in spring.

Reason is the $20 seat covers are not nice. And the $500 seat covers look like your entire interior was reupholstered.

That gold/red combo looks really nice even though my exterior is silver. Looks customized and will be a head turner for resale value....Hard to decide on a color!
