2012 Versatile I've had for two years and done some mods. There are periodically this series of beeps. They pair, wait three seconds, beep again. Not the phone, does it when present or not present. Not the auxiliary battery, New one didn't change anything. No alerts show up on the dash. Gas full or empty. Fluids full. Lights on or off. Will seemingly go on forever until system power-down. Sometimes goes for weeks with nothing happening, sometimes happens daily. Dealer says to bring it in when it's happening, never does when I have time. I have recorded the sound. Not a clue. Here is the important thing --It keeps happening even after the car is turned off and powered down. After a few minutes, It finally quits. Will never quit until the car is off for awhile. When car restarted, does not start up again until some random future time. I've read all the suggestions and probables on this and other forums. The typical culprits have not discovered it. Anybody have a clue?
Might have a clue. Yesterday it started out of nowhere again while driving. When we arrived at the destination, I shut off the car and my wife got out. It was a store and I noticed my parking lights were still on from the reflection. I drive with them as I put extra lights in the signal bays. When I switched them off....the beep-beep stopped???? Now I have to wait for it to crop up again and see if switching them off while driving does anything.
Not sure what this means. Did you add additional lighting at some point? If so, I'd double-check the wiring - Could be a short or improper connection. If there are no DIY add-ons, then I don't have a clue, sorry...
