09 Prius had been running great. 12v battery was replaced less than a month ago. While driving red triangle, VSC, and ((!)) lights came on. I drove a few more miles, parked the car and turned it off. Now the car won't start.
When pressing the break and hitting power all the dash lights come on but no ready light and the power button light is orange. The only gears available are neutral and park, and the engine doesn't start. I've disconnected the 12v, and checked that it is good. I've pulled serval fuses and they've all been good. I haven't been able to find much online about relays, or know if that may be the culprit? Any information is greatly appreciated as my next step is towing it to the dealership. Thank you!

How did you check the 12v? Did you touch the hybrid disconnect switch (orange plug) on the hybrid battery?

My husband took the 12v battery to an auto part store to have it checked. It's a new battery still under warranty. I did not touch the hv battery, not even 100% sure of its location.

If the connections your 12-volt is nice and tight then the car should start at least one time after it's been disconnected

There wasn't any change after reconnecting the battery, terminals are clean as well. My husband said it was reading 13 volts when tested last night.

Some how you will need to get the diagnostic trouble codes that have been logged in the ECU's with a reader that is compatible with the Prius. With those codes and their sub codes this group is extremely effective at directing repair/repair efforts.

By your signature you have a 2009 Prius, how many miles have you logged on it and has there been any other recent service performed or other drive-ability issues?

138643 miles, I'm the second owner and have had it since February. It had all kinds of weird issues that all resolved once the 12v was replaced. No issues since then until now. We used an OBD2 reader and weren't getting any codes

This to me sounds like a shorted inverter pump but I'm not sure initially how you able to drive a few miles after it shorted.

Check the am2 fuse in the front engine compartment

I just tried starting it again after double checking the am2 fuse and noticed the screen saids "problem" then "air conditioner off" then has a red symbol of a car with an ! In the middle. Not sure if that helps anything?

Maybe member @patrickwong would know which fuses to check. I can't remember which other fuses can cause your issue

If you drove it for a month after replacing the 12V battery, it seems unlikely to me that it's a 12V battery issue.

JC really knows his stuff, so maybe it is a fuse. @Patrick Wong might have some fuse ideas, but I think you're going to need to have it checked with a Prius capable code reader. Hopefully, Patric will be here soon.

Did you try to jump start the car? If you did, that could have blown the fusible link if you accidentally reverse the polarity

Yes, we did successfully jump start it once then couldn't again. I sincerely apologize I forgot to mention that in the original post. I know details like that make a difference, I'm sorry. All of the help is very greatly appreciated!

The fusible link is attached in the photo, the rectangular white piece. See if the copper link is broken[IMG]

The cables were attached directly to the 12v to jump it and were very carefully aligned when placed

I found one of Patrick's posts

Check the following fuses: 10A GAUGE, 15A DOME, 7.5A IGN. Two of those fuses are in the fuse box below the instrument panel, driver's side.
