Wouldn't a seat like this be a huge upgrade for a prius. It is power, leather and has the seat cooling heating unit that blows through the pin holes in the leather. Major obstacles, hooking up the in seat air bag, controls for the heating cooling : Lexus es 330 I Installed power leather front seats in my old 2000 honda mini van and it was a tremendous upgrade, well worth the $350 I spent on the seats. I ran a fused power wire under the carpet to power the seat motors, they bolted right in because it was a leather seat from the same model.
I can't decide. I love my Prius but I find the drivers seat to be mediocre. I wish someone else would do it first. A power leather Prius 5 seat would be a really easy swap but that seat would be really hard to find. The next option is a seat from a different car which creates all the compatibility issues. Sean (sfv41901) installed the Lexus CT200h seats in his Prius and they were almost plug and play (involving a few splicing).
I'm thinking it over. The ct200h seat sounds nice. I wonder if Sean got the heating cooling feature to work.
I know this thread is old but has anyone successfully upgraded their seats to the prius power seats or the CT200 power seats? Im looking into doing this but I was surprised to not see any thread about this. How do you get the schematics for the seat power connectors?
probably off the on line repair manual. a few people have done it successfully, but old threads can be hard to find. all the best.

I could have but it requires u to rip into the dash to rewire.....didn't feel it was worth it I had the CT200h seat in my Prii. If I already have power seats, it's pretty much pnp however if I don't it's g o ing to require a o me wiring to power the seats. VS980 4G ?
So is the wiring complicated? I imagine worst case I just have to get it back to the fuse box. I was planning to visit some scrap yards, but i dont see any new prii there :S If i can find a power drivers seat it seems i can use one from the Ct200h or the prius but how do you know what years you can use from? Like can i use something from a 2001 prius? or camry/corrola? Im new to car mods so I have no idea how part compatible things are. If this was a bike i would have had the changes done faster than I could have typed this out :S

The leather on that seat - OP's post - where your butt sits looks really wrinkly. I had our Tesla seats under warranty changed out because of that - among all the other crappy fit and finish features. You pay for something - you shouldn't get junk level quality! The leather seats in our hybrid Lexus SUV stayed fresh & wrinkle free-unstretched for over 10 years - looking way better than the picture above. All that said, there's a thread here on PC, where the owner put a Volvo driver seat in the Prius - and it looked really sweet, with all its plush, firm, lumbar support, and 7 way motion adjustability. .
