What would PETA folks do if they got tapeworm?

I talked to my wife last night, who saw the photo too. The location was Tibet and the animal was not a bobcat (my bad memory) but probably a Pallas's cat. The bottom line is that it doesn't matter what the location, animal or group is, if you want to kill something, you can justify it.

I'm going to a PETA meeting tonight.. About 6 pm...

People Eating Tasty Animals is meeting at a resteraunt near our home tonight, we plan to knock off Steak, Ribs, Seafood and anything else we decide looks or sounds good.

That should cover at least one pig, one cow, and who knows how many fish of the sea. I think that's a well rounded PETA meeting.

That link (to an anti-PETA site) calls PETA the largest animal-rights organization. I think that's rather far-fetched. PETA is probably the most extreme animal-rights organization, but I doubt it's as large as the ASPCA or the Humane Society.

 

PETA has a budget of $20 million dollars, donations from celebrities. The majority of which is used for propaganda.

In 2005 PETA was only able to adopt out 7% of their "rescues". They killed 90%. No animal shelter in the country has a 90% euthanasia rate. So PETA must be really BAD at doing their job. Or...maybe their job is to kill animals.

The Center for Consumer Freedom, which represents the food industry, a frequent target of PETA campaigns, released data filed by PETA with the state of Virginia that shows PETA has killed more than 10,000 animals from 1998 to 2003. "In 2003, PETA euthanized over 85 percent of the animals it took in," said a press release from the lobby, "finding adoptive homes for just 14 percent. By comparison, the Norfolk (Va.) SPCA found adoptive homes for 73 percent of its animals and Virginia Beach SPCA adopted out 66 percent." "

Now the PETAkillsanimals website is hardly an unbiased website. However, the euthansia statistics they have are public record. 90% of the animals they "rescued" were killed in 2005. Thankfully the shelter in Virginia is no longer releasing any animals to anyone with any connections to PETA.
