It is from day one, I can hear the click sound every time when press the gas pedal. But no sound if the car idle. And the dealer said that's normal, it's just the electrical motor switch ? Do you guys hear that sound when press the gas pedal?
There is no switch. The inverter is what drives the motor and it's always engaged, sometimes not providing power, sometimes it is applying power, and in reverse it's driving the motor backwards (the only power to the wheels in reverse is electric). It's all solid state with no switches. The dealer guy needs education. If the engine isn't running and you press the pedal far enough the engine will start. Whether the engine is running or not, if your hearing is good enough, you will hear the very high pitched whine of the inverter applying power to the electric motor (MG2). It's possible something in the A/C system is switching to a lower power mode to allow more power for acceleration, though I haven't noticed that (but I'm in a rather cooler area than you so A/C cooling is usually under very low load or off). The only "switch sound" I can think of is if there is something loose in the car sliding back, like a nut or a marble on metal.
Very appreciate it. All the click sound without AC on. And the click sound direct from gas pedal (inverter). I also tried other new same model Prius at dealer, it does have lightly click sound when press pedal, but not loud as mine. I think it's something lose too or need lubricate. Because my brake pedal had click sound too, the other dealer lubricate the pivot, problem solved.
