Just got the new 2017 Prius for about 10 days. Found a problem: every time, if I press the gas pedal hard, so it will turn on the gas engine, the sound kind of loud, and I can feel the gas pedal kind of vibrate. Is that like a exhaust leak on new car?
My 2017 Prius does that too. I notice the same vibration when the engine fires up. There are a few things I had to get use to on this car. It'll make interesting noises before you start it up too.
Not a problem.... just how the car is designed When the electric engine is on, there's very little vibration or noise because everything is coming from the battery. When you slam on the gas and the ICE comes on, there is vibration and noise. After all, ICE stands for internal COMBUSTION engine... you are exploding a volatile compound in order to get it's energy
