I notice the Gen 4 doesn't have the same setup as my gen 3. It used to have this screen at then end of a trip when you shut the car off: Time: Distance: Consump.: ___MPG Fuel Cost: Is there a way to get the fuel cost screen back?
This one you mean? Always shows up for me. I didn’t have to alter any settings, but maybe it needs turning on?
So does mine, but Harters and I both have Gen 4s and I certainly don't know about Gen 3s. @bisco may have an answer for you.
Ok, but our Gen 4s both default to the screen OP reports missing. Perhaps @UserError could clarify for us.
There is a fuel cost/saving screen on the Gen 4, it is further down the menu and has to be selected, use the arrows to scroll through until you see the Prius vs Humvee page, it has a double line chart with fuel savings listed.
The OP is asking about the end of trip screen on Gen 3 that reports the $ cost of the trip. This does not show on the Gen 4 by default. I have not looked through the menus on Gen 4 to find it.
There is a summary screen with your score too once you shut the car off. If you open the door before the screen pops up the door open notification will pop up on top of it and you have to push the back button on the steering wheel to see it.
That screen that @Harters has, I'm actually a bit annoyed by it and would rather not have my car judge my driving at the end of every trip. Is there a way to turn it off? It kinda reminds me of school and I'm always bothered when I get 60s....
After some googling, I don’t think there is a way for it to show trip cost after each trip like on the gen 3. Which is disappointing because that was kind of cool and more useful to me than the scoring system. It’s okay though I can live without it.
As soon as it started bothering me I stopped looking at it. A screen asking if I want to turn off the interior motion sensors comes up just before it and I'm out of the car before the score sheet comes up so I don't see it now.
Oh that's disappointing. I have some OCDs when it comes to this stuff so its kinda hard for me to ignore haha... I guess I'll just have to adjust my driving habits so I'm back to being an 80s student again.
