Hi there. Didn't want to hijack anyone's thread so thought I'd start my own. I've been lurking on here for a couple of weeks, didn't find this site in my basic research until I did a more detailed search after I made my purchase. Anyway, just wanted to say that my new Prius will be ready to pick up next Sat. I bought my Prius primarily for selfish reasons, I'm just sick and tired of paying so much for gas. I currently have a 20 mile commute (one-way) with mostly stop-and-go traffic with many miles put on for work purposes. Having to fill up at least once a week with a Nissan Altima just doesn't cut it at these prices. Also, I consider myself an environmentalist, as I'm in the biz. Currently, working on a project to clean up the groundwater contamination at a former Air Force Base. And I do love the reduced emissions. Trying to sell my brother who's set on an SUV on the Highlander Hybrid, if for nothing else than the emissions. Basically, I'm not a "car guy", though. I just use them to get from point A to point B. However, after reading the posts and getting a general feel for some of the posters here, I absolutely can't wait to take ownership of my Prius and thoroughly enjoy it as most of you do. Wave at me if you spot a silver Prius on 281 in SATX. Cheers and happy motoring.
Welcome. I am a newbie too, but not new to the Prius. Watch out, you may become a car guy with this car. It is a fun and exciting ride. Happy Motoring (as they used to say)!
I'm a new Prius owner. I picked up my silver pine Pkg 7 today. I have a lot of reading to do!! Too much information!!! Hopefully I can figure out how to upload my cell phone numbers to the Prius! Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
