you have to be in the military to get access to a military facility, or a civilian with access or a spouse lol.

 

Raytheeagle Sorry for the delay busy family days the last few days! I have to double check all of the requirements, but the minimum is a military ID to get on base. I can take guests on the base, but one car at a time, then there is an hourly charge for the garage. The nice thing...they have all of the tools you could ever need!

 

When you're up this way and need a hand, I'd be willing to help out and reduce the hours you are there.

What's the hourly rate?

Does DD214 works to get in the military base?

 

Seems like our next meet up needs a little incentive to happen..

Only dates listed so far are November 11 or 18. I'll be there either date. But prefer the 11th as we have an evening commitment the 18th.

ATF & engine oil filter change, maybe tire rotation.

 

Oil change for me..... And that other thing.... I can go any location, although my stomach prefers the sausage bbq last time.

 

I can try to make either work. If I do anything, it would be one or more of the following (if I don't get to it before then lol). Even if I don't plan to work on anything, I'm still going to try to make it

- Install TRD rear sway
- Install Underbody Brace/Plate
- Install front strut tower bar
- Led Turn signal & relay install

 

Maybe @Pedal Logic wouldn't mind hosting given his geographic central location .

If not, we'll figure it out.

 

One week's gone by and I haven't have time to install my oil catch can, and now I found myself Sunday afternoon chilling in labor and delivery waiting for my 2nd baby, means I won't have time to get it done soon. Looking forward to getting permission for the install meet, easier to get the permit because on Nov 11 my baby boy will be just a bit more than a month old. Will be nice to meet up and see some fellow Prius owners and help out on guys needing work. For my Prius, at 53k miles EGR/cooler cleaning can wait, need OCC first to keep manifold clean.

 

I should be able to meet you guys just about anywhere on the 11th, if anyone has a quick link to all regular matenences I should be doing on my Prius I would love to see it and figure out what I need to get done. (I'll bring my car wash stuff again as well as my ratchet set to the meet)

 

How many miles on your Prius now?

Any jobs you want to get done? Trans axle fluid drain and fill?

Just about 67000, mostly I'd like to just clean out my engine and fill up or change fluids that aren't done with an oil change. (I like to get those done at shops so I have a complete record of them when I inevitably sell the car many years down the road). Super excited to come again!

 

I will definitely want to be the one who does all the happy wrenching on my prius.

There was something about Pedal Logic hosting this, wonder where he is.

 

Might have another host location near the San Francisco Zoo lining up.

Maybe @Pedal Logic will respond though and we’ll see if he doesn’t mind hosting.

This will probably be the last meetup we see @mmmodem before he moves out east toward @bisco ,@m.wynn and @WilDavis .

But we’ll enjoy his company one last time.

I'm here and, yes, I'm happy to host. In fact, I just cleaned up the garage after a summer's worth of projects.

@Raytheeagle Do you still have a need for some of the 2x4 pieces? I have a couple stacks left.

BTW, how long does the EGR swap take? Is it a nightmare? It's certainly the opposite end of plug-and-play...

Your location is very central and might accommodate some from the Sac area to join this round.

I can always use some 2x4’s, so I might take you up on your offer.

The egr cooler swap is something we could do, but given @mmmodem ’s impending location change, I was going to give him dibs on the cooler swap, if he wants it.

How many miles are you at? We can always get yours at a subsequent meet up, if that works for you.

Since we now have the location defined, who will be attending November 11th in Lafayette:
