    hard to know what that means without a better analysis of his speed and comparison of the other competitive models.
    i would like to take my 2013 out for a 53 mph average cruising and see what it returned, but there are so many variables.

    why is he averaging the readout and the pump calculation?

    interesting. individual reports vary, he was kinda low with his 2012, but excellent in the 2018, especially for an xle!

    I have a 2018 Camry Hybrid LE, now with 2000 miles. In bumper to bumper city traffic, I'm getting 50 mpg. Pure highway milage is 53.

    This seems to be in line with EPA ratings, more or less.

    In the last couple hundred miles, I've noticed that the brakes have gotten a bit "grabby" in bumper to bumper traffic, rather annoying. I'll take it in to the dealership for an adjustment if necessary.

    Very smooth drive, responsive feel.

    Is the MPG from the Camry computer or is it calculated manually by you?

    Just got a 2018 Camry Hybrid XLE. At 2000 miles now and have the same low speed choppy braking problem. Has your dealership been able to address the problem yet? Otherwise it drives as smooth as glass. Overall MPG at 46.7.

    EPA numbers seem to be right on the dot for typical conditions and allowing a 5-10% variance for extreme conditions - eg Alaskan winter, Phoenix summer, short trips, or high speeds.

    if you're regularly getting 15% or more below EPA mileage, on a typical 10 or so mile drive, there is a problem. sometimes mechanical, usually in the driver's seat...

    It was warm the other day and I got 52 MPG driving to work like a madman (because running late). My lifetime for the LE is 50.4 MPG so far. It would be higher but I bought the car mid winter and the salesman showed me the car's many features with the engine on using fuel to keep us warm. Been struggling to get he mileage up, warmer weather should do the trick.

    Normally I wouldn't even let a salesman waste my time but this was a decently knowledgeable salesman and the car does have a ton of features that were new to me (electric parking brake, adaptive radar cruise, lane departure, fancy stereo and multi function displays, passive key-less entry, heated power seat, hybrid "tachometer" eco/power display, etc.).

    my wife, 'lead foot' just got 49 on the screen, 46 calculated on her 2013 with 50,000 miles. not too shabby. i'd love to see what she could do with a 2018.

    I purchased my 2018 Camry Hybrid in October. I have logged almost 9000 miles in the car and commute on a fairly level highway with a speed limit of 65. I usually run around 73 for most of it. There are places that drop the speed to 45 and 55. I have driven this route for several years and usually don't use brakes when I slow down. I don't gun the car back up to 73 after the towns. The drives have occurred in temp ranges from 60's to single digits with snow, rain, wind, and clear dry conditions. I watch both the overall, per trip, per tank, and measure manually at the pumps. I have also taken trips to Wisconsin along the coast of Lake Michigan and down to Tennessee (east of Knoxville).

    I have yet to see 50 mpg on a single trip or tank to or from home driving this route. The only time I ever saw anything above 50 mpg was when I babied the car in town with people get angry at me. The overall average of my car since I bought it is currently sitting at 43 mpg. I usually average about 40 (extremely winding situations) to 46 mpg. Not sure how you guys have been getting what the sticker shows, but I am still extremely happy with the purchase. If anyone has any pointers, please let me know!

    I average about 25k miles per year in a car and recently traded my 2014 Nissan Altima for this. My only 2 complaints are the fact that the center console doesn't have a tray and that my garage door opener doesn't fit on the massive visors.

    My LE Hybrid would get about 49 MPG under similar circumstances in hot dry weather on an extended highway trip. Cold weather or precipitation would dramatically lower this figure. Going a bit slower would improve the efficiency.

    Dunage how long is your trip? If it is fairly short you may not be overcoming the startup/warmup penalty.

    The LE's mileage starts out terrible ( like 15 MPG) during the first few minutes the car is warming up. The mileage climbs the longer the car is in operation. If my commute was only 5 minutes long I'd be getting perhaps 30 MPG. After 15 minutes in the mileage might have climbed to perhaps 40 MPG.

    I tend to drive slow on purpose to achieve higher mileage figures and would not expect "normal" drivers to match my results.

    You don't have homelink on your rear view mirror? Thought almost all newer Camry's had that mirror.

    Usually reserved for higher trim levels. Camry L, LE and maybe SE models typically don't have Homelink.

    Homelink is (was) part of an optional package for the 2018 Camry Hybrid LE. We have it on our 2018 Camry Hybrid LE. Works as expected. :)
