That would be an easy ride in your mother ship :)

Peeps rolled down for Toyota Fest, and most likely will for the next @Burna J gathering with 'Sean D' aka @sfv41901 and the rest of the Masta Crew (y)

Think of all the wenching fun you might miss out on; with sausages, beer and only the cutest babies

I quoted @RMB as he is in the Bay Area ("classy Oakland";)).

But we would welcome a southern invasion(y).

Not sure what the benefits there are for this device. Thank you for sharing, love some of the things the jdm market has to offer. Blow-by from the motor does not push anything through the upper crankcase vent, it just sucks air down and pushes everything through the lower pcv valve.

Wow that's some solution in search of a problem... I'm skeptical of a 1% improvement in FE - but 15%? Must be from all that extra oil burning.

Im flattered . ayy heading over there is... Well its been a long time since.maybe 2003. I will jusy wait for my warranty to expire on april next year and than do the occ.
That epidemic. Lots of priuses will fall and its all for a bad design. Im amazed now at the improvement in performance after that head gasket replaced. Over 5k miles. No oil burning ,already higher than 50mpg. My car is like new.
    Will do the occ soon.

The easiest way is to remove the intake resonator and then let the OCC hang between A/C hose and radiator hose. Easy removal.

You memtioned before how diesel owners block the egr passages with a disk they mount on top of the gasket as a way to improve performance and a way to avoid accumulating oil on the IM and the egr cooler.
Just noticed today a piece of disk sticking out of the egr pipe. I mean that car performs now as best as ever with average 56mpg vegas - l.a and near zero oil consumption.
Not complaining just wondering if dealer blocked that egr when replaced that head gasket.

You are most likely looking at the part of the gasket that is sticking out. I am not sure how the car will run with a block off plate or restrictor plate(smaller hole)without throwing a code. I think you could probably make one out of a coke can's aluminum. The egr's job is to reduce NOX gases.

Yes it looks like that metal shape. I won't bother myself for that and just enjoy the performance till warranty expires than do the occ.
Less than 20k miles left on my extended warranty and i think i can get the dealer to change engine mounts and front shocks under warranty

Has anyone blocked the EGR without throwing a code? If so that's next up for me.

Doesn't blocking EGR raise engine temperatures? Not to mention upsetting the computer.? (n)

I cleaned it, ultimately with an OxyClean soak of the cooler, which got it very clean. Also installed an oil catch can.

Sorry I haven't gotten the time to install the OCC, but I will probably put it where danlatu put it, behind the driver side headlight housing where there is a huge empty space, for ease of taking it out and dumping the oil.

And video, I will try to do a video during the install, but will probably need an expert to do the editing.:p I think the OCC install may take about 2 hours? I doubt anyone willing to watch a 2 hour long video.:ROFLMAO:

I guess the dealer fixed the problem (replaced head gasket) but didn't get to the cause of the problem (clogged EGR or oil in intake manifold)?
