Llumar 30% on the sides and 20% on the small back window. Love it!

Looks great! Did you tint the rear double bubble window as well? Is front tinted? ! I am thinking of tinting mine to reduce glare off the LCD. Did you have any problem with the glare?

Don't make the mistake I did. Also have Llumar. Great tint, and the rear hatch back window is fine. But the side windows are way too dark. Can barely see out at night. Even during the day, I can't see the rearview mirrors on the doors. Need to blow another 200 bucks and have them lighten up the sides.

That is the exact reason I went with 30% and not 20%.

20 vs 30 isn’t that big of a difference. His look like 5%, which is also extremely illegal on the front windows in California.

30% is actually the norm here in WI. 20% is just way too dark. I'll have to take some more pictures from different angles.

Here's a shot from my garage. As you can tell 30% is far from pitch black...

Rear shots. Again, depending on what angle you can definitely see through the rear window so it's not completely dark. I love how the 20% tint on the small window conceals everything in the trunk. [IMG][IMG]

I paid $275 for the side/rear with Llumar CVT 35%, and $100 for Llumar Air 80 on the front window.

No pix but I went with 20% on the back seats and rear window and 35% on the front side windows. Nothing on windshield. That is the max legal in my state of registration. We frequently have our dogs in the back and wanted max darkening to keep them cooler. Plenty of visibility at night and significantly cooler inside.

Tint was Formula 1 ceramic, total cost was $350. Had local shop with great reviews do it.

    $280 out the door.

20% on the rears+hatch and supposedly 55% fronts. From most angles it looks like they ended up putting 35% and some looks even. Car actually looks sharper this way but then again maybe I should have asked for that 80% instead.

Anyways, I first asked for Ceramic but the owner said most can't prove what an installer puts on anyways so why spend the extra $200. UV blocking difference on printed brochures was only 4% and that was not enough for me to put down close to $500 for tint lol. Besides I got tint done with them 20 years ago and that (which I liked) never faded, shifted nor bubbled.

What's really important is the written warranty against bubbles, fading/color shift and a reputable shop that's been in business for some time. His has been open to 30 years and has a great reputation.

This photo was during a slightly overcast day.

These following ones were taken during the massive fire in the Napa Valley. Extreme warm hazy overcast with sprinkles of ash fall. I didn't bother to color correct the orange hue.

That looks great! The dark front windows look strange to me after so many years in California. Here you can't have anything on the front windows except a very light tint (80% VLT, I believe) that is really not visibly noticeable. I've gotten away with going dark in the back with 35% up front. It creates a clear difference between front and rear windows, which has been enough for me to keep from getting pulled over. I wish I could tint mine like you've tinted yours. The tint laws here are absurd. If front-window tint is legal in other states, there is no logical reason that it shouldn't be here. It's all about cops wanting the ability to see in your car. That just supports profiling.

Ding, ding ding! Profiling and it violates privacy. If you leave the blinds open in the front windows of your home you have no expectation of privacy (yet nobody should be on your property to see in always. If your a cop looking in the blinds at a distance with binoculars well thats totally stalking)... Then again they can just go in your back yard and shoot you through your back room window, kill you, with your child playing right next to you and then claim they got a complaint. Like that was their ticket for hired murder. The only occupation that wants to retain serial killers as employees....kind of funny considering. I have been thinking a lot about how they are gathering up the old cars by harassing the people who can't afford new cars in order to change the system they keep using to manipulate the living. I suppose we all just become Muslim.
