Any ideas on what the best method is to remove a very shallow scratch from the clearcoat on a side panel? The car is millenium silver coloured. It's just barely "feel-able" by running fingers across it lightly. Not a major imperfection by any means, but I'd like to get rid of it. Any ideas? Would just a good waxing fill it in? Dave.
I bought touch up paint and the paint repair kit from Brandsport at: http://www.brandsport.com/plik-4503.html I haven't had to use it yet but am prepared just in case. The repair kit should take care of your clearcoat scratch.
I just washed my Seaside and there are a couple of linear scratches (white lines!) :cussing: I checked Brandsport, they don't have Seaside Pearl listed, but do have Sea Spray Pearl. Anyone know if they're the same?
I wouldn't risk it - if you go to your local Toyota dealer, they can order you a touchup pen that's matched to your paint. It has the touchup paint on one end, and a clearcoat pen on the other. Seems to work pretty well (I just touched-up a small scratch that I missed on the initial pickup-inspection. Dave.
