Which trims include partial-white dashboard?

Any 2016 or 2017 with the interior called "Moonstone" has the white dashboard. It's an awesome color that brightens up the inside IMO. I still use a sunshield because the white doesn't really act like a sunshield, although it probably helps.

 

I have a Moonstone Softex interior and have had the car for one year. I was worried that it would show the dirt more. It doesn't. I'm not hard on my interiors and I even have a dog. I just wipe it down with a dry micro fiber towel from time to time. I don't eat in my car but I have spilled a couple of sodas.

 

I LOVE the moonstone interior on my 16 and I think it offers a big difference in cabin climate over my previous all-black interior vehicle. The Softex is very easy to clean, too.

I have been using my 13 month old Prius with moonstone interior as a pickup truck the past several days. Carrying lumber, potting soil, fencing, etc. All the trim, seating, etc. still look new. I am amazed.

 

My black softex seats are hot.

 

None I hope.
The light colored dashes make BAD reflections on the windshield under some circumstances creating a significant safety hazzard.
There is a thread on here about that right now.

Best to keep buying your portable sun shades.

 

Looked at one yesterday (Touring) which had the white parts on the dash but the black console. Appears the console is now black from the factory as it didn't look like a stick-on part.

 

I think the discussion here is about the interior-side portion of the dashboard, not the center console, as shown in this Moonstone interior shot:

I'd note that even with the Moonstone interior, the front/windshield side of the dashboard is still black, so a dashboard cover is probably still advisable for davide's use case.

 

I personally wish they offered more of a grey interior. I think the moonstone is HIDEOUS but don't love how hot my black gets. I wish they had a two toned grey/black like they do on the Rav4.

 

I thought black was too dark. I feared Moonstone would be too close to white interior. That is why I got the beige interior - It was the only choice remaining.

 

Beige was my first choice but it literally was impossible to find. Dealer said 2/3 of them sold are white then black then barely any beige.

 

When I got my 2016 it had the Moonstone interior as shown by Vike in post #10. Initially I thought I would not like it. After having the car for about 9 months, I think it is just fine. I barely notice the white while driving.

 

Mine are black cloth, but being in UK --- not so hot, tho I don't suggest relocating!!

 

My local (clueless) dealer insisted that Trim Two only had black interior as a choice. My preferred dealer was much more informed.

 

I have black leather and I find it doesn't get half as hot as the leather I had in my Q5. Whether its to do with it being perforated or not I don't know, but its definitely cooler to the touch and to sit in when its hot & sunny.

 

We do not have a leather option here in the US. The seats are either cloth or Softex synthetic which is leather-like.

 

My C Class Elegance had Alcantara synthetic leather. It was OK and hard-wearing, but nowhere near as nice as the leather on my Rover 75 Connoisseur.

 

I know some UK Prii have real leather as an option. When US people here say they have leather it is the Softex unless they have installed leather seat covers.
