Hi there, I have a 2012 Prius v Five. The Entune version was 3.2, the Gas price and Weather app were working without problem. However once I upgraded the in-dash Entune version to 5.2 from toyota official website, now the Gas price, Weather app won't work as no internet connection. The phone and music are working. any idea?
yes, I paired my iphone 7 (ios 11) by bluetooth. phone calling, music works, but not the Weather, Gas price App
Weather, gas prices, traffic, sports and stocks was provided by XM Data Services and was included for three years after the vehicle purchase. Except! Our didn't shut off after three years but finally did a year or two later. Our sat radio also continued far beyond 90 days. I remember reading that XM had some sort of issue that prevented the company from being able to determine when the three years were up. Rather than take a chance on ending service early for some customers, service was extended to well beyond the original three years. Perhaps updating your Entune allowed XM to determine that your three year subscription had expired. So, if you value these services, I suggest you contact SiriusXM
That's odd. Our live traffic et al still works with 5.2 and we never responded to extend XM, and it ended right at 36 months, which was almost three years ago.
Our Live traffic still works with 5.2. Only Apps like Gas price, Weather and iheartRadio, etc. not working.
I may have "muddied the water" here. Based on the 2012 Prius v sales brochure, it looks like XM Data Services is relevant only for the "Premium HDD Navigation with Entune and JBL" system that came with the Advanced Technology Package in our Prius v Five. We probably wouldn't notice XM Traffic even if it is working - near zero coverage where we live per the XM Traffic coverage map. HD Traffic, however, has excellent coverage in our area. I'm not surprised that the 2015-up Prius v has only HD Traffic.
Service menu. A workaround is to enable bluetooth network sharing on whatever mobile device you're traveling with, then enable internet on the pairing setup menu. As far as downloads go, try this link: Toyota Downloads That said, the problem seems to be that the Toyota menu throws up aged-out, dead links.
