Hello Everybody. I had something strange happened to me tonight and wanted to get our thoughts. After getting home from work I parked my prius and went to open the truck. For some reason it would not open even though the doors were unlocked. I then opened my drivers side door and I could hear a high pitched noise. When I put the key in and tried to start the car it would seem like it was going to start but nothing happened. After about 15 seconds the car started up as normal and the trunk could be opened. I noticed however that the clock reset back to 1:00. Any ideas on what may have caused this? I have since then restarted it multiple times and took it for a test drive with no issues. Thanks!
Good Call. This morning it was slow to start up but finally did. I am now seeing the "transmission "P" lock mechanism error and based what I read in other posts also indicate a 12 volt battery issue.
