Good evening group. I am looking to find a coin holder to be placed inside the center console. I do not wish to use up a cup holder for the Toyota ash tray / coin holder. So, has anyone got a great idea that they would like to share? I am not opposed to doing something nice as long as it works. I cannot stand the sound of loose items rattling around in the car.

    I got one of these

    ripped off the keychain part
and stuck it to top of the console lid with some of those removable command strips, works well, no rattles. My only wish is that it had more quarter capacity, its kind of limited in that sense.

You should know better at your age, don't let the wife see your money.
I keep my change in the coin tray in the top of the centre console, under the arm rest.

Get some kind of container you can hide in one of the door pockets.

It is a strange world now, because most places that stock auto parts no longer carry any specific coin holders anymore. More "organizers". I thought about fashioning some sort of holder to go in the recessed dash trim line behind the piano black trim piece. But the console door make the most sense. Just not finding anything that would work well.

She's not the cheapest option, but I use my wife to carry the cash for me. ;)

OK...but the OP is NOT going to like my suggestion.

For years, and multiple different vehicles my preferred solution to a change holder?
Well I go to the Dollar Store and buy one of those foam insulator cover sleeves meant to be put on cans of pop to keep them cold longer.
I then pick a spot, depending on the vehicle. But there is usually a cup holder area, or spot I can put it I like. Then I just drop my change in it as I go along.
The fact that it's foam insulation material, means it keeps everything quiet. No rattling or noise.

I know this is kind of a "Cup Holder" answer. But it's worked great for me for years. And it is very quiet.

I just got a Prius Limited and couldn't find an acceptable coin holder so I designed and printed one myself. It holds about $8.50 US in coins and my wallet.

I wrote a blog post, but I can't post a link to it because I don't have enough posts here yet. If you search for "Mark Rehorst's Tech Topics" and then search the blog for "prius" you'll find it.

The black and yellow thing is my wallet, specifically chosen so that I will be able to see it even in the dark recesses of a bag or a car's console.

There's a link to the Fusion360 design file in the blog post, so if you have CAD skillz and a 3D printer you can easily modify it for any size coins and print it yourself.

Now, where am I supposed to keep my sunglasses???

I keep my sunglasses in a foam pop-can holder in the door pocket.

Oh no! Don't use SketchUp for 3D printing. It's not intended for that and it doesn't work well- STL files almost always require repair before you can print. Fusion360 has a free education license. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's worth the effort.

I know about EZ Pass. The coins are not for tolls. They are for buying a cup of coffee or sandwich at a drive-through, etc., and just to get them out of my pockets.
