My check engine light came on, so I scanned to see what my trouble code was. I was shocked that 6 codes came up: 0011, 0002, 0100, 0500, 0020, 0200 I researched each one and found that a lot of them are about open or shorted circuits. However, the car runs fine and being a bit mechanical I know that the car would not run with some of these codes. My question is with the Prius C does it need to be scanned with a special scanner and not the OBDII scanner that I have? 2012 Prius C 31K
Gas cap code should be a p410/p411, something around those numbers. You can check it with a normal scanner... ask me how I know.
I did have 410 and 411 earlier and replaced the fuel cap. These new ones are all about timing and circuits which leads me to believe my scanner is not reading correctly.
