occasional rough shutdown from gas to electric???

    Anyone have rough shut downs from gas engine to electric engine???

    You might want to check your profile: it says you have an '03 though your thread title says "2005". Though, you probably own two and now I'm the schmuck. :)

    Anyway, yes. As some here have noted, ocassionally there is a shutter when the ICE shuts off. Nothing major. Being in SanFran you might never encounter this, but it's worse in cold weather.

    This is usually a problem in cooler weather, but I see you're in SF, so maybe it is cooler weather. Another contributing factor is the state of charge of the battery; when the SOC is halfway, it seems to happen a bit more.

    It's normal, and will mostly subside with more miles on your car/time on your ICE.

    I also get this . I just lerned to deal with it. Now tell me do you ever get when you put on the break and hit a small bump at the same time . the car seams to jurk forward fast?

    I assumed that the electrical engine is kicking in causing a surge because the bump triggered it somehow - but yes i have experienced this
